Wow, a lot happened this Wednesday and Thursday! Rob came home to Texas from his annual hunting trip to PA, (pictures to come later), amid a crazy snow storm in Houston! On my drive home from the airport I was getting emailed pictures on my phone of a snowman in my front yard. It turns out that by about 11:00pm we had about 2-3 inches at our house covering the whole yard. Sadly around 2:00am Thursday the precip had turned to rain and overnight we lost most of the snow but not all of it. Check out some pictures below
The next exciting event happend at work on Thursday. We found out early in the day that the Space Shuttle Endeavour was going to be doing a fly-by of the Houston on the back of it's 747 carrier aircraft on the way to Kennedy Space Center in Florida from Edwards AFB in CA. The fly-by turned out to be very exciting as the pilots did three circles over the Johnson Space Center/Clear Lake area at around 1500 ft! Click below for some pictures and also watch the video. It was probably one of the best moral boosters we've had here at JSC in a while.
