Ok, so it was over the course of a year and it was in the Fit! This evening when I rolled into the driveway the odometer read 10,000 miles exactly. This is almost a year to the date from when we purchased her with 32 miles on it.
Yes I know I'm almost out of gas, thank you, and the picture was taken this morning with the engine cold (therefore the engine cold light is on)
