We had a great weekend! The weather was great and we got out to do some fun stuff as well as get some relaxation in at home. Saturday morning we all got up early and went to the NASA Ballunar Festival. Starting at 7:30am all the balloons lifted off two miles away from the landing field and had to try to fly close enough to drop a hula hoop over the tip of a tethered Space Shuttle balloon.
Saturday afternoon we had a very nice relaxing time around the house. We grilled burgers and hung out outside. After dark we had a fun campfire in the backyard. Joel really has to learn campfire safety! He almost burned his eyebrows off more than once... Sunday we went to a local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins and then played at a local playground before getting ready to head up to Houston to pick up Melissa's mom from the airport.
