The front door looks good!
Many things look different to me in that it is Christmas and the roses are blooming, there are leaves on the trees, the landscaping plants look healthy, and the window is open. Oh, the red front door looks great!

It's daytime as opposed to nightime. Some day your going to be thankful that your dad is so smart.
All of the above plus the following:
The garage door is opened in the second photo. A dodge is parked in the driveway in the second photo. The Christmas lights are off in the second photo.

oh yeah, and the only way to tell that it's winter in Texas is by the color of the grass! It's brown, so it's winter!

In California the grass is green in winter and brown in the summer. And in the fall it burns up.
