This afternoon at 2:45 eastern Space Shuttle Atlantis rocketed into space to start the STS-122/1E mission to the International Space Station. The crew is carrying the European Space Agency module, Columbus, to install on the ISS to serve as a science platform. Also, European Astronaut, Leopold Eyharts will be replacing US Astronaut Dan Tani onboard the ISS. Dan has been onbard for 105 days as of today.
