Back to work!

We're back at work this morning and it's pretty weird being here. Melissa and I were confused in the house this morning as we had almost forgot our normal routine of getting the kids up and ready for daycare. Hard to believe we've been dealing with this storm for almost two weeks now.

Sorry I didn't make any more posts since last week but it was getting to be a pain posting on my cell phone. Anyway, to recap - power came back on at our house last Monday evening to great applause! Everyone in the neighborhood who was back in town alredy (or never left) was out in the street cheering. Melissa and the boys returned early Tuesday morning. They were planning on that anyway, but it was good timing. A great blessing for all of Houston after the storm was the unseasonably cool weather we had. Even after the power came back on we didn't turn the A/C back on till just two days ago. A lot of Houston, including a lot of our co-workers still don't have power yet with estimates being another week or so.

Here's the requested picture of Jenny doing her job on the back porch. I pulled some down fence panels up to hide her from the traffic which can now look into our back yard.

This is what we did most of the week. Cooked lots of food that defrosted in the coolers while we were gone and played. Luke got a lot of good soccer and T-ball practice in! :)
