Every time reminds us why...

Honestly we're not bandwagon jumpers, I promise. We genuinely don't like Walmart or even shopping there. However every so often there's some product that seems like no other store will have as available and low priced as Walmart. So today we went into the local Super Walmart and its throng of Saturday shoppers. The goal was to see if the photo shop would be able to print copies of our wedding pictures which we recently bought the negatives of from the photographer. Almost an hour and a half later and $76 less in our pockets we walked out annoyed and poorer. Blah! Sure the really cool folding lawn chairs with foot-rests that only cost $12 are nice and but dealing with the chaos just isn't worth it anymore. When we finally made it to the checkouts we found that almost 1/2 of the checkout isles are self-check out isles. 6 isles are manned by one person. Ok, if you aren't feeling nervous yet you should be.... Melissa mentioned to me that the Cadillac seemed to be running just slightly rougher than normal while idling recently so I thought it might be be good to pick up a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. Did you know that you have to be 18 to buy fuel injector cleaner b/c it's made of mostly alcohol and other things that might get you hi? While we were realizing this fact just a bit to late, of the 6 checkouts that the one poor woman was manning, 3 had red blinking lights on them requiring her to come and fix them. But of course some very smart individual thought it would be a good idea to pay with a check at the self check out isle so he was taking her attention first. Ug! If you can help it, patronize your locally owned stores. Walmart is to big for its own good.

OK, I went to super Walmart the other night for the first time in about six weeks. After a few minutes in the store I started to have a panic attack because just being in the environment causes me anxiety. I agree, shop local.

When you say shop local, do you mean at Target? Where else can you buy all the stuff Wal-mart has to offer? Just go there when it's not crowded.
